While working in house as a Digital Designer at TotalJobs (now Stepstone Group), I designed and coded branded HTML & CSS email campaigns from scratch. These targeted communications reached thousands of active job seekers across the UK, driving engagement, conversions, and measurable results. Award winning Project 🏆
Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion
I’m incredibly proud to showcase this award-winning project, which was recognised at the Axel Springer DE&I Awards 2022 in the Inclusion & Accessibility category.
As one of the lead designers on this initiative at TotalJobs (now Stepstone Group), I worked alongside our internal team to create an HTML & CSS accessible email design that could be adopted across all campaigns supported by detailed accessibility documentation that paved the way for wider adoption of digital accessibility across the company’s brands and assets.
Our collaborative work contributed to a major shift in organisational awareness and standards, helping to ensure that accessibility and inclusion became central to design practices across the business.
Key improvements included:

Clear content structure and improved readability

Enhanced colour contrast and typography for low-vision users

Hierarchy and logical flow optimised for all devices

Descriptive alt text for compatibility with screen readers

Design templates built to support inclusive hiring communications
The result: a fully accessible suite of branded email designs that helped candidates engage with job opportunities more easily supporting Stepstone’s wider DE&I mission across the UK and Europe: “Jobs for everyone”… and in our team: “Emails for everyone.”
This work earned recognition from Axel Springer, and continues to drive positive impact across Stepstone’s brands today.
